Fuel Saving Policy A Bust

A recient White House claiming that they are going to impose stricter laws for gas guzzling SUV's. Although a good idea, it seemed that the claim of saving 340,000 barrels of oil a day was never backed up. Although the National Traffic and Saftey Administration has increased the standard of 21 mpg to 21.6 mpg in 2006, the average amount of oil only sums 9,400 barrels per day. It is a start, but not nearly the insane claim of 340,000. The fact of the matter is that people care more about looks then they do about performance.
