Obesity

Hello again, I was reading a fitness magazine and stumbled across a very intresting ad. Almost two out of three Americans over the age of 20 are overweight, and many of these men and women are overweight to the point of being obese. By any standard, this is a public health crisis -- and it's growing worse. Even more alarming, the percentage of children and adolescents who are overweight has more than doubled since the early 1970s. Among children and teens aged 6-19 years, 16 percent (over 9 million young people) are considered overweight. Although the United States l health objectives for the year 2010 is to reduce the prevalence of obesity among adults to less than 15%, current data indicate that the situation is worsening rather than improving.
