"Fake And Bake"

Hi there, this is for all the ladies that tan out there. The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a report warning people younger than 18 to stay away from tanning beds because they can raise the risk of skin cancer. The global health agency issued the advisory because many teens, especially girls, like to use the beds to get a tan before summer starts. According to American Cancer Society estimates, more than 1 million cases of basal cell or squamous cell skin cancers occur every year. These types of skin cancer are highly curable, but about 1,000 -2,000 Americans die from them each year. Even though you might look good and burnt everyone should read more in depth about how skin cancer can affect an indivdual's body.

  • Here's a good use of statistical reasoning: The null hypothesis here is that the products (spray and beds) are safe while the alternative if that they are unsafe. There is sufficient evidence in favor of the alternative for beds, but not for spray.

While we do get important vitamin c from the sun, we probably get enough from just being out in it without tanning. Plus, over the years the effects that the sun has on skin is terrible. Some old people look like prunes because of the sun and need more surgury than MASH unit.

I especially liked the title of the post. Cute.
