Philly in trouble
Well, the playoffs are in and the Philadelphia 76ers seem like they are going right out. Today they lost in overtime to the number 2 seeded Detroit Pistons. In the overall series they are down 3-1 and they are playing the next (fifth) game in Detroit. An interesting statistic mentioned during the game was that only 7 teams in NBA history overcame a 3-1 deficit. If you ask me I would tell you that this won't an exception. Philadelphia plays hard and hustles. Especially Allen Iverson, who has had his best season so far averaging 30.7 points per game and 7.9 assists per game. But besides him, the 76ers are full of mediocre players, including Chris Webber who averages more than decent numbers but is not the same player that he used to be. Besides, he is guarded by the Wallaces,(Ben and Rasheed) who are two of the best center/forwards in the league. I watched the game today and I must say that I like the way Allen Iverson hustles but unless he can find someone to share the ball with, I think Philadelphia might keep this NBA Championship draught going. And it's been going on for a while. Since the 1982-83 season to be precise.

For Drod49: What do you mean by, "Games are won and lost on the free-throw line"? What statistics would you use to support your claim? Do the actual numbers (if they're available) back you up?
