The Killer of Women

The prevalence of heart disease is increasing in America, and it is now impacting women more than men. Doctors are ordering that women undergo changes in their eating habits and focus on their health. Exercise is a necessity, and in all actuality, it is one of the only ways to prevent heart disease. Without proper diet and exercise, the likelihood that a woman will suffer from a heart attack is very high. 1 in 3 women will suffer from a cardiovascular problem after the age of 65. This life-threatening problem stems from years of unhealthy behavior. It is shocking to learn that fewer women die each year from accidents and cancer than from heart disease. This is an alarming statistic because the severity of the situation has not been publicized. Many women are not aware of how common this problem is becoming. Thousands of women truly can be saved if they act now and alter their lives. If women put their health first, the benefits will be seen in years to come.
