Salaries of NFL Free Agency

Now that the Free Agency period in the NFL is over it is amazing to see the prices that some of these players are getting paid. Most of the guys were second tier guys that have potential to become good players, but they have not yet earned the kind of money that some of them are getting paid. At http://proxy.espn.go.com/nfl/fa?null is a list of free agents with their new teams and old teams. It is also interesting to see how the teams can just get rid of their old players just because there are other players out there, some are not even better than the ones the had. Take the Saints for instance, the Saints traded to get FS Tebucky Jones and after just two years that they considered to be disappointing they decided to sign FS Dwight Smith to a 5 year/15 million dollar deal. Thus prompting them to let go Tebucky Jones.
The NFL Draft is also a time when teams go crazy paying a bunch of rookies an absurd amount of money without ever playing a game.
I think its crazy how teams throw around the kind of money that they are.
