Cause and correlation of violence

Is it really accurate to say that violent video and computer games are the causes of violence? While the number of children playing violent video games is growing, it is only logical for one to speculate that this is where they learn and develop such behavior; but according to statistics and national headlines, setting the blame for desensitizing the youth should not be entirely on the video game community.

In most recent headlines, has anyone noticed that our notoriously accused BTK serial killer was a devoted churchman as well as president of his church council? As many of his close friends and family were utterly surprised, he was described as a faithful and hardworking man.

Last month, Terry Ratzmann who was a regular church-goer went on a shooting rampage inside his church killing seven people including the minister and his own teenage son, wounding four others, and eventually taking his own life. This man who was described to be just an average Joe with no previous criminal record, was apparently upset by a sermon he heard last week.

Church, is it really good for you?
